hosted clinics

Ylvie hosts clinics with various Academic and Seat specialists in The Netherlands
At her own stable in The Netherlands, Ylvie hosts various of her own trainers for clinics.
You can join these clinics with your own horse, one of Ylvie's school horses or as an auditor.

These clinics include:
Weekend clinics Academic Art of Riding by Bent Branderup:
Bent Branderups aim in life is to revive the art of riding and the work of the old masters. His goal is to make the knowledge about the art of riding accesibly for everybody, to spread the teaching and to help as much riders and horses as possible. Therefore, he travels every weekend to another place throughout Europe to give lectures and educate riders. Twice a year (in january and early september) he visits Ylvie's stable for a weekend clinic.

Clinics are open for everybody. You can participate in a clinic in two ways: as a rider or as a surveyor. As a rider you will be receiving private tuition with your own horse (it is not possible to participate with a school horse in these clinics) and participate in the theory lessons.
The theory lessons will, naturally, contain information about the Academic art of riding. As a surveyor you will be able to watch the riders and participate in the theory lessons. Everybody who is interested in the Academic Art of Riding is welcome to participate during the theory lessons and to watch the riders during their lessons. The riding participants should be riding instructors. Theory participation in The Netherlands  is 135 euro for the weekend, this includes drinks and lunches. To sign up simply email Ylvie.

Weekend clinics Academic Art of Riding and Liberty Dressage with Christofer and Rebecca Dahlgren:
This lovely couple finds the perfect balance between the physical education of the horse through the AAoR and the mental training and playfulness of liberty training. Both Christofer and Rebecca will provide theory during this weekend, and teach parallel lessons. It is possible to participate with your own horse, a school horse or as an auditor, You can have lessons with Christofer (AAoR) only, Rebecca (liberty) only or from both. Theory participation in The Netherlands  is 135 euro for the weekend, this includes drinks and lunches. To sign up simply email Ylvie.

The Rider's Seat clinics (3-day clinic):
Tom Nagel, author of the books Zen and Horseback Riding and Simple Pushes, is an internationally recognized instructor and clinician. He has conducted clinics and trainings, given lectures, and done presentations throughout the United States and in Europe.
Tom discovered through his own horseback riding experience, that how bodies work on the horse is the same as how they work off the horse. He has been able to teach riders how to identify and engage their psoas muscles, to become better riders. Tom's experience and expertise is in the basic biomechanics of how human bodies work. He practiced Aikido for seventeen years and is an advanced practitioner of Zen Bodytherapy®, a bodywork discipline that combines deep tissue and alignment work.
The Rider's Seat clinics are suitable for all types of riders, never mind the level or discipline. You can participate with your own horse, a school horse or as a non-riding participant. All 3 days, Tom starts with theory and exercises in the morning. In the afternoon, the riders will ride in small groups to integrate what was done in the morning in their posture and awareness while riding. Also instructors who wish to learn new ways of helping their students improve the seat will find this clinic very helpful. All participants will have the opportunity to experience a bit of bodywork and will receive a copy of Toms book
Zen and Horseback Riding.

Centered Riding Clinics:
Each year, Ylvie invites different level IV Centered Riding instructors to come over and teach CR instructor Courses and Instructor Updates. If you wish to become a CR instructor, please take a look at www.centeredriding.org or simply email Ylvie.
